Giveaway Time!!!! 50 Followers!--Closed!

It's celebration time!  Earlier this week I hit 50 followers (now 58) on this blog and I'm just about to hit 100 followers (99) on my tumblr.  I think that calls for a celebration.  A giveaway celebration!

Here's the prize!



2 polishes by Quo by Orly.  Orly partnered with a Canadian beauty company - Quo last fall to start this line.  These polishes are exclusive to Canada and are therefore somewhat difficult for some of you to obtain.  I thought that would make them perfect for a giveaway! The giveaway is international!

These are swatched from my own personal bottles not giveaway ones.

These polishes are truly gorgeous!  Amazing glass-fleck finishes.

Turquoise Midnight is supposed to be a slightly darker version of Orly's own Haley's Comet. It's a turquoise to blue shifting glass fleck.  Lots of variation of the shades of turquoise.

Celestial Star is also a gorgeous glass fleck finish.  Its glassflecks range from dark blue through indigo and to a deep purple. (Lol- inadvertant classic rock shoutout!)

I hope one of you will be happy to own these gorgeous polishes.

    That's a great idea to choose a polish that might be hard to get for your giveaway! And some awesome colors too! <3

    I'm actually not listening to music while polishing. I tend to watch TV instead. Since I'm currently picking up my Japanese studies again, I'm watching anime in order to practice my listening comprehension ;)

      Wow, multi-tasking! I'm impressed! I need to be listening to familiar music with a good beat. It helps me concentrate on the polish. :)

    I pretty much listen to Kate Bush at ALL times. I love her so much :) Although I'm writing my dissertation at the moment on American Experimental Music so I'm listening to that all the time.

    Dh is always wanting me to watch a tv show or movie with him, but I'm rarely interested in the ones he choses so thats usually when I polish.

    I actually do my nails while watching TV so I'm usually hearing the theme song to Big Bang Theory, 21/2 Men, or How I Met Your Mother. Lol.

    I'm usually reading fanfiction between layers. I seldom have music on just for background noise - I've got KIDS for that! :) If there's music at my house, either the kids & I are up and *dancing*, or Mr. IJAH is playing his guitar.

    I usually just choose shuffle on my ipod and let it go through songs on my playlist. I usually like to keep it to songs that I like....nothing that's on my son or husband's lists because they are heavy metal....YUCK!

    Actually my ritual with polishing my nails is wathing old The Big Bang Theory episodes. They're still funny to me, no matter how often I watch them. :) But if I listen to music it's usually whatever I feel like listening ATM. Lately that were Fates Warning. :)

    Like lots of the people here I tend to watch tv at the same time! Has to be something long enough for me to have got on my quick dry topcoat before it finishes otherwise I usually smudge while I try to find something else to watch!

    It has to be something light and airy or I start waving my hands about in time to the music = bad for polishing! So usually something slow like A Fine Frenzy.

    By the way, I clicked 'like' on the 'like the blog post' entry but I as I clicked 'enter' it came up with 'confirm'...I can't seem to get it back...is there any way to manually like this blog post on Facebook, just to make sure I did? Thanks!

      I don't think there is any other way for just the post. I have a 'like' Nox Nails on facebook in the sidebar.

    I find that I'm usually watching Friends or a basketball game when I do my nails, but if I'm listening to music it's probably Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, TI, or B.O.B. I like all types of music, in one car ride, I will literally change the station around from Christian music, to oldies, to hip hop, to classic rock to pop, but something about hip hop is inspiring to me when I'm doing my nails.

    I listen to a Pandora station I made that has southern rock and classic rock...Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Creedence Clearwater Revival, ZZ Top, etc...I love it!
