There are now
I don't have another giveaway planned just yet because the other one is still going on. But, I'll see what I can do when it finishes! =)
Anyway, nails!
I saw a pair of sunglasses at work with crocodile skin print on the arms. It looked pretty hot. I, of course wondered how it would look on nails. It was all in black and since I love me some black nails, (plus after pastel nails, I have an inherent knee-jerk reaction to go dark) I figured I'd give it a try.
I liked this but I didn't love it. It was quite subtle in person and these definitely aren't going to be the nails that someone crosses the street to compliment you on but I was happy overall.
I did a quick google search to see what other kinds of crocodile nails existed and I couldn't find anything like this. I found lots of people using a Barry M shatter that looked croc skin like and I found a few people had painted actual crocodiles on their nails. With the popularity of croc skin items, I thought there would be more.
Anyway, what do you think?
Pass or fail?
'Til next time,
Amanda
I think these look great! I'd cross the street to say I love your nails, then again I just stare at peoples nails all day...lol :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I spend way too much time looking at people's nails too. =)
DeleteI appreciate the virtual street crossing though!
Your blog is cool! I am really digging your stuff!
ReplyDeleteWow, thank you! That's awesome. =)
DeleteIt totally reminds me of croc sunglasses. Pretty cool :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Crystal! Inspiration really is everywhere. =)
DeleteI think it's a pass.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paulina! I do like it just not as much as I liked it on the sunglasses.
DeleteI like it! Subtle is sometimes just the thing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! I love black nails so it was nice to fancy them up a little. =)
DeleteWow I love it! I definitely want to try croc nails!
ReplyDeleteThank you! & Go for it! =)
DeleteI really like it. Cool and different!!
ReplyDeleteAnd hey - I've passed on the Blogger Appreciation Award to you - you can see more about it in the post I wrote about it here:

Thanks!
DeleteAnd Wow! Thank you. I'll go read it now. =)
Looks great, I think. I'd notice them if you would come to my help desk ;) I'm not really surprised that there weren't any other manis like yours. It makes me remember those awesome snakeskin nails I have seen a while ago. The wonderful lady actually used her snake's "old" skin...
ReplyDeleteThank you! I actually just saw an article on those nails again recently. It looks really neat but I think I'll stick to the fake skin on my nails. =)
DeleteWow that looks so cool! Great job! :D
ReplyDelete~ Yun
Thanks Yun!
DeletePass! I actually love how they are subtle! So creative :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! In some lighting they were great in others the pattern faded. =)
DeleteThese are really neat, did you just freehand with the matte top coat?
ReplyDeleteYup! Just dabbed a little top coat on a plate and freehanded the pattern with a nail art brush. It was pretty easy. I tried it first with Seche Vite Natural Matte Coat but it wasn't matte enough so I switched to the Gosh matte top coat.
DeleteThank you! =)
I love matte nail art. This looks really cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alexis!
DeleteLOVE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Erin!
